Our Story
One woman's irreplaceable loss became a mission that has touched thousands of irreplaceable lives.
The Journey So Far
The Trust is Founded
Anaya Jothi Charitable Trust is registered on May 19th in Chennai. The first act: a small, quiet feeding programme for workers in Saidapet.
Education Programme Launches
School fee assistance begins for students at government schools across Saidapet. First cohort: seven children. All stayed in school.
Women's Skill & Beauty Courses
Free vocational beauty training begins, targeting women with no prior income. Graduates begin self-employment within months.
Covid Emergency Response
During the pandemic lockdowns, the Trust doubled its meal distribution and expanded counselling services to reach newly vulnerable families who had never needed help before.
Foundation Ecosystem Expands
1mp.space and hope108.in are launched as sister initiatives — extending the Foundation's reach beyond Chennai into a national network of givers and servers.
AJ Awards 2025 — Women Empowerment
The first annual AJ Awards launches, celebrating extraordinary women across 10 categories. The message: every community has its quiet heroes, and they deserve to be seen.
Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To uplift the lives of underprivileged communities across Chennai through nutritious food, quality education, vocational training, career guidance, and compassionate mental health support — ensuring that every individual, regardless of circumstance, can live with dignity, purpose, and hope.
We do this without fanfare. We do it because it needs to be done. And we do it with the kind of love that doesn't keep score.
Our Vision
A Chennai — and one day, a country — where no one goes hungry, every child has access to education, and every person has the tools to build a life they are proud of. We envision communities empowered by knowledge, nourished by care, and uplifted by the women who hold those communities together.
We do not believe this is idealistic. We believe it is achievable — one meal, one scholarship, one healed mind at a time.
Our Core Values
These are not words on a wall. They are the reason we show up — on the hard days, the resource-scarce days, the days when the need seems larger than the capacity to meet it.
"I firmly believe it is our duty and responsibility to give back to the society we live in. Not because we are generous. Because we are human."
— S. Annain Anaya Jothi, Founder
Our Team
Small in number, immense in heart. Every member of the Anaya Jothi team believes that what they are doing matters — because they have seen it matter, up close.
