Simple. Transparent. For Life.
You choose a tree. We pair it with a guardian family. They send you monthly photos. The palm grows. The family earns. Tamil Nadu is restored. That's it.
The 1mp.space Model
One million palm trees restored across Tamil Nadu — each one tended by a village family earning verified monthly income. Not a one-time drive. A lifelong guardianship.
Most tree-planting drives work like this: you donate, a photograph is taken on planting day, and the story ends. Nobody checks whether the sapling survived its first summer. Nobody tracks whether it was grazed over, drowned out, or simply forgotten. The donation receipt is the last thing you ever hear.
The 1mp.space guardianship model was built to end that story. We understood that a tree only lives if a person cares about it — and a person only cares about a tree if they have a reason to. So we created the reason: a guardian family that earns monthly income because your tree is alive, growing, and verified.
This is not a donation receipt. This is a relationship. Between you — an urban donor who wants to do something real — and a family in a Tamil Nadu village who wakes up each morning and checks on your palm because their livelihood depends on its health. The tree connects you. The tree sustains them. And the tree, once rooted, will outlast you both.
That is what makes 1mp.space different. Not the technology. Not the GPS. Not even the 96.2% survival rate, which is among the highest in the sector. What makes it different is that someone, somewhere in Tamil Nadu, knows your tree by name.
Simple by Design
From choosing your tree to receiving your first photo update, the entire process is built to be clear, fast, and completely transparent.
Economic Empowerment
Environmental restoration and rural income generation are not separate goals. In the 1mp.space guardian model, they are the same thing. A thriving tree means a thriving guardian. There is no other way it works.
The entry point to the guardian network. Sapling Volunteers participate in planting events, learn proper tree care technique, and submit photographic reports after each session. Points accumulate towards Guardian status. This tier is open to anyone — students, retirees, families — who want to contribute a weekend to Tamil Nadu's restoration.
The backbone of the system. Palm Guardians adopt a grove of trees in their village and commit to monthly verification. They submit GPS-stamped photos, report any threats (grazing, drought, disease), and maintain the tree's health year-round. Their monthly income is tied directly to the survival and verified growth of the trees in their care. This is a real job — and for many guardian families, it is a life-changing one.
Grove Captains lead a cluster of ten or more Palm Guardians across a localised area. They are responsible for quality assurance — ensuring that monthly reports are accurate, that guardians are properly trained, and that any tree loss triggers immediate replanting protocol. They also act as the human connection between the digital 1mp.space platform and the on-the-ground reality of each grove. Performance bonuses reward captains whose clusters maintain the highest survival rates.
Regional Stewards oversee district-level operations — managing multiple Grove Captains, coordinating with local government and forest department offices, and ensuring that the 1mp.space mission is represented authentically in their district. These are senior roles for experienced conservationists and community leaders who want to make ecological restoration their full-time vocation. At this level, the guardian system becomes a career — not just income, but professional identity.
The 1mp.space guardian system paid out ₹2.4 lakh to guardian families last month alone — income earned not through charity, but through the verified, dignified work of caring for Tamil Nadu's land. See our full transparency report →
